We are currently seeking two Recycling Operatives to support a busy waste and recycling operation on a temporary basis for approximately 4 weeks.
The first week of the assignment (ideally commencing 12th October) will involve working in Oban and Fort William, assisting with hotel clearance projects. This will include removing furniture, mattresses and other bulky waste items into skips. Travel time will be paid, accommodation and meals will be provided,= and candidates can travel with the team in a company van.
The remaining 2 to 3 weeks of the assignment will be based predominantly in Inverness, supporting construction and waste clearance projects involving the removal and sorting of materials from containers into skips. Candidates should be flexible, as there will also be an induction and up to one week working at the recycling facility in Alness depending on operational requirements.

What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with hotel clearance projects, removing furniture, mattresses and other bulky items
- Loading and unloading waste materials into designated skips and containers
- Sorting mixed waste streams, including construction and demolition waste
- Separating recyclable materials such as wood, plastics, metals and plasterboard
- Supporting general recycling and waste management activities
- Carrying out manual handling tasks safely and effectively
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, generally between 7am/8am and 4pm/5pm
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- £13.45 per hour + overtime at £20.18 per hour after 40 hours worked per week
- Travel time paid whilst working away
- Accommodation and meals provided for the Oban and Fort William project
- Transport available in a company van for candidates travelling with the team

- Previous experience in recycling, waste management, construction, warehouse or labouring environments would be beneficial but is not essential
